Island H2O Live!: Orlando’s Newest Water Park

Today we will be reviewing Orlando’s newest addition to the water park scene: Island H2O Live! We wanted to write an honest review of this water park to see how it compares to other water parks in the area.

LOCATION

This water park was built on the whole concept of family fun with a splash of relaxation. After all, you are in the Margaritaville. The water park is conveniently located in Kissimmee, Florida, which is about 17 mins from Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The ideal location for any traveler: near or far.

PRICES AND HOURS OF OPERATION

Price is an important factor to me because I want as much bang for my buck as I can get. When compared to other water parks, Island H2O Live!’s tickets are $20 to $25 dollars cheaper than other water parks in the area and they DON’T fluctuate their prices based on the day of the week. Moreover, if you are planning to go to this water park more than 2-3 times this year along, getting the annual pass will more bang for your buck. Hours of operation for this water park are hard to beat since they are open from 9 am to 7 pm! Most water parks in the area open at 10 am and close at 5. So there is an extra three hours of fun in the sun with your family that you cannot get with any of the other parks.

 FEATURES 

Island H2O Live! has multi-guest racer slides, two kid play areas (with slides), Live entertainment, drop slides, a wave pool, a 21 and up pool area and my personal favorite the lazy river. There are areas all over the Island H2O Live! where you can take pictures and videos of yourselves in their Live! shacks and share them with those who can’t be at the park with you. WHY GO TO ISLAND H2O LIVE!?

What makes this water park so different from the rest you may ask? Well for one, Island H2O Live?’s whole goal is for you to have as much fun as you possibly can. Additionally, Island H2O Live! is completely interactive with games and experience that let you earn points that are good for food and merchandise. So the more fun you have, the more points you get. And the more points, the more free stuff you earn. That’s right, you heard it…FREE! All you need to do is tap the wristband they give you when you first enter the park on each ride you go on and you start earning your points.

FOOD AND SNACKS

I found that the food was absolutely delicious and very well priced. We bought a foot long hot dog and a basket of fries for $8.99. I was shocked to see my total since I have paid more at other water park and the food was not nearly as good.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS

​Overall, I thought that this water park was VERY clean and the staff was incredible. They really love to help as much to make your experience even better. For the price point of of 44.99 for adults 37.99 for a child (online prices) you are getting a nice and relaxing day at the water park for a longer period of time than other local water parks. I was so impressed with this water park in fact, that I purchased an annual pass for myself and for my family. Additionally, I have been fortunate enough to have been able to go to the park several times now and I can honestly say I have NEVER had any difficulty finding parking and I have NEVER felt like it was overcrowded.

It’s nice to have an Oasis to go to when you just want to relax and have fun with your family. I would recommend Island H2O Live! for anyone looking to have a fun and memorable experience with their loved ones or on a solo trip. You will be glad you went!
