Travel Luggage: RISE Gear’s Jumper Review. A travel must have!

Recently, I came across a product that made my travel so much more convenient.  At times, I find myself having to quickly pack up and go so I like having things that are ready to go as fast as I am.  As many of us know, traveling can sometimes be an exhausting experience but packing and unpacking can be just as frustrating when you are trying to get out the door quickly!  When I read that RISE Gear had a product where you can unpack in 10 seconds or less, I was immediately sold on the idea.

RISE Gear has developed a wonderful product that makes traveling easier. According to their website, you “pack your RISE gear quickly and easily from your closet straight to shelves, zip closed and go.  At the destination, just unzip your bag, and hang your shelves, instantly unpacked!” With all the hassle of travel, making packing and unpacking easier is a wonderful concept. 

First Impressions: Shipping was very fast, which allowed me to take it with me on my next trip, only a few days after ordering.  The materials quality is excellent which is very important when you are relying on your luggage to survive varying destinations.  The bag itself had 3 straps (one over the shoulder strap and two arms straps) along with two very sturdy hangers to hang the unit in the closet.  Inside, you’ll find three shelving units for your clothes, shoes, and toiletry pocket (or clothes hamper).  The RISE gear Jumper fits inside carry-on luggage and, if needed, can act as a carry-on bag by itself.  This bag can also fit underneath the airline seat and can be easily placed in the overhead compartment.  

So, as many of you are probably thinking, how much clothing can fit in your bag? Although the website says this suitcase can hold up to 2-4 outfits, I found that I was able to fit an additional 2 outfits comfortably.  I was able to pack the following: 2 pairs of shoes (sandals and tennis shoes) 6 pairs of pants, 6 shirts, 6 pairs of socks, and 12 different pairs of undergarments, 5 hangers, and my hair dryers.  I could have packed more but I wanted to leave room for the convenient hamper at the bottom of the Jumper bag. The packing process was very easy and I had no trouble zipping up the bag once I got everything inside.    

I think the most worthwhile the aspect of this product is its all-in-one nature.  You truly do not need to think about carrying extra luggage to fit your belongings because this product is very compact and makes use of every inch of space within the luggage compartment.  The shelving units are spacious and have room for multiple outfits and other toiletries you may need.  Below are some pictures displaying the measurements of the bag (open and closed). 

One note: while the US airports appear to send this bag through without issue, we have experienced that some foreign airports will want to look inside due to the wiring within the construction of the shelving unit showing up on X-Ray.  Not a super huge deal but something to note for foreign security agents.
